Calculating your grade point average

Your grade point average (or GPA) is the measure used for academic achievement at Griffith University. Your GPA is calculated using the following method:

  1. Multiply the credit point value of each course by the numerical value of your grade for the course. (HD = 7, D = 6, C = 5, P = 4, PC = 3, F = 1.5, FNS and WF = 0);
  2. Add the outcomes for each course attempted;
  3. Divide the total by the sum of the credit values for all courses.

Your GPA is the primary measure of your performance at University and is used to ensure you are making satisfactory academic progress.
